In friendsyoge we will publish all the latest news about this exchange project involving the Emídio Navarro Secondary School of Almada and the College Saint Theresa's Convent Singapore.

The project named Friends@YOG, was developed in the framework of the first Youth Olympic Games held in the last month of August in Singapore. Several schools in this country have established contact with other country of the origin of young athletes who would participate in the competition.

At the beginning of the project, students of Emídio Navarro School and the students of the College had several jobs that Singaporean aimed at cultural exchanges between the two countries. Furthest advanced settled even a videoconference. However, the draft only reached its peak months later with the long-awaited arrival of the schoolgirls Saint Theresa's Convent.

In mid-March 2010 Portuguese female students received in their own houses the foreign students. During their stay in Portugal, the students went into the most charming places of our capital; various activities were held in conjunction with Portuguese students, including a karaoke and a workshop of traditional dances. They also visited the famous Serra da Arrábida and the Olympic Committee of Portugal.

This moment has allowed the realization of some of the initial objectives of the project. The last part of this initiative is the trip of Portuguese students to Singapore. Currently all students are engaged and working to make this trip happen.
